Camping Polleur is located in the north of the Belgian Ardennes, about 30 kilometers south of Maastricht and in between the famous places of Spa, Theux and Verviers.
The small river that flows past the campground is called la Hoëgne. It a tributary of the Vesdre and has a length of 30 kilometers. The Hoëgne belongs to the basin of the Meuse.
The river is right on the edge of the campground. In some places it can be reached by a walkway. There are no direct pitches or accommodations on the river.
Hours of fun
La Hoëgne is a quiet stream in summer. In high temperatures, the river offers wonderful coolness. Many people grab their chairs and enjoy paddling in the little river. It also offers hours of fun for children. Searching for the most beautiful stones, looking for small fish with a net or just splashing around in the water. Because it is a protected area no dams may be built.
